Tammy Kerr, M.A.
Tammy graduated from The University of Pittsburgh in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work. She earned a Master of Arts in Counseling at Geneva College in 2024. Tammy is currently in her internship phase of clinical training, and is under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Supervisor at Christian Counseling Associates. She holds the following certification:
- Child Welfare Certification – State of Pennsylvania
Tammy has experience working with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of settings that include:
- Hospital and Nursing Home settings
- Community Mental Health Agency
- Outpatient Mental Health
- Children, Youth and Family Services – State of Pennsylvania
Tammy works with individuals from elementary age to adults. She is trained to work with most areas of clinical disorder. Clinically, Tammy employs a faith-based approach using Family Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Gottman Method. Tammy specializes in the following areas:
- Anxiety
- Behavioral Issues
- Spiritual Issues
- Spiritual Issues
- Parenting Issues
Tammy integrates Faith-Based Counseling by incorporating biblical principles and prayer in each session. She is an active church member and ministry leader.
