Lisa Hosack, Ph.D., M.S.W.

Education:

Lisa holds a Ph.D. from Michigan State University (from the College of Social Work), a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Illinois – Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Moody Bible Institute.

Background:

Lisa joins us with more than twenty years of practice experience. In addition to her role at CCA, she’s an associate professor at Grove City College, where she directs the social work program. Dr. Hosack has previously worked in child welfare and clinical social work in Chicago and Grand Rapids, MI. Additionally, she ran a college counseling center at a small Christian college.

Areas of Specialty:

In her work with children, adolescents, at-risk teens, foster children, adults and families, Lisa has employed a variety of therapeutic approaches, including: CBT, DBT, family systems and psychodynamic modalities. Lisa’s areas of specialization include: anger management, adoption, depression and anxiety, domestic abuse, marital and premarital counseling, self-harm, pregnancy (prenatal and postpartum depression), relationship issues, boundaries, sexual abuse, trauma and PTSD, mood and personality disorders, and issues of spirituality. Lisa’s preferred clientele is individuals (adults and seniors).
