Kent earned his bachelor’s degree in secondary education at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and his master’s degree in counseling from the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Steubenville, Ohio.
After teaching special needs students, Kent became aware of the acute need for healing among our young people. He is devoted to helping others heal from emotional and spiritual wounds which are so prevalent in today’s society.
Areas of Specialty:
Kent focuses on a faith-based healing process which uses scripture and prayer while integrating Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy techniques. Through Christian counseling, he helps clients explore a need for emotional and spiritual healing and growth while helping them rediscover their highest potential in a Christ-led process. He has spent the last four years focused on counseling those individuals battling with drug addiction; yet is also well versed in helping people overcome depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. He now works with clients from the ages of 13 and older. Kent provides individual as well as marital counseling.
Kent worships, along with his wife, Ashley, in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, where he plays the trumpet in local churches and with the Beaver Valley Choral Society. He is also part of a praise and worship band called the Upper Room, which ministers to parishes in northern Beaver County. Additionally, Kent is a core member of the Beaver County Chapter of Theology on Tap.
