Allen Joseph, M.Div., M.A.
Allen graduated from Marywood University in 1991 with a Master of Arts in Counseling from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He also earned a Master of Divinity from Baptist Bible College in 1984. Allen is currently in his pre-licensing phase of clinical training and is under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Supervisor at Christian Counseling Associates.
Allen has over thirty years of experience working with clients in a variety of settings that include:
- Outpatient Mental Health Counseling
- Corrections Counselor/ Unit Manager
- Law Enforcement
- Pastoral ministry
Allen works with individuals from across the lifespan. He is skilled at working with individuals, couples, and families. He is trained to work with most areas of clinical disorder. Clinically, he employs a faith-based approach using Cognitive Behavioral and Solution- Focused Therapies. Allen specializes in the following areas:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Trauma
- Addiction
- Grief
- Anger
- Substance Abuse
- Psychological Testing
- Workplace Problems
Allen integrates Faith-Based Counseling by incorporating biblical principles and prayer in each session. Allen is an active church member. He has served in various positions including service as a pastor, teacher, worship leader, Bible study leader.
