Tom graduated from Geneva College in 2007 with a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Religious Studies from Hiram College. Tom serves as the Clinical Supervisor for the Butler-Grove City Region and holds the following licenses and certifications: Nationally Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor (State of Pennsylvania).
Tom has over ten years of experience working with clients in a variety of settings that include:
- Christian Counseling Associates
- Catholic Charities Clinician and Case Worker
Tom works with individuals from across the lifespan. He is skilled at working with individuals, couples, and families. Tom is trained to work with most areas of clinical disorder. Clinically, he employs a faith-based approach using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, and Psychodynamic Therapy. Tom has experience in addressing the following areas:
- Anger Management
- Anxiety
- Domestic Violence and Abuse
- Marital and Premarital Issues
- Parenting/Co-Parenting
- Military Related Issues
Tom integrates Faith-Based Counseling by incorporating biblical principles and prayer in each session. He is an active church member.
