Michele Shirey, L.S.W.
Michele graduated from Bloomsburg University in 1984 with a B.S. in Secondary Education. She earned her Master of Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in 1991. She holds the following licenses and certifications:
- Licensed Social Worker, State of Pennsylvania
- Licensed Secondary Teacher, State of Pennsylvania
Michele has over twenty years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in a variety of settings that include:
- Private Practice and Outpatient Mental Health Counseling
- School-Based Services
- Community Based Mental Health Services
- Secondary Teacher
- Children’s Home Caseworker
Michele works with individuals from across the lifespan. She is skilled at working with individuals, couples, and families. Michele is trained to work with most areas of clinical disorder. She employs a faith-based approach using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Michele has extensive experience in addressing the following areas:
