Elise Jefferis, R.N., L.C.S.W.
Elise graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006 with a Master in Social Work specializing in mental health. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from Geneva College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Slippery Rock University. Susan holds the following licenses and certifications: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Social Worker, American Association of Christian Counselors and Licensed Registered Nurse.
Elise has years of experience working with clients in a variety of settings that include:
- Outpatient Mental Health Counseling
- Rural Mental Health
- Medical-Surgical Nursing
- Behavioral Specialist
- Inpatient Clinical Social Work
- Rehabilitation and Geriatric Nursing
Elise works with individuals from across the lifespan. She is skilled at working with individuals, couples, and families. Elise is trained to work with most areas of clinical disorder. Clinically, she employs a faith-based approach using Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavior Therapies. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Elise specializes in addressing:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Stress-related disorders,
- Marital and couples issues.
Elise integrates Faith-Based Counseling by incorporating biblical principles and prayer in each session. Elise is an active church member. She has served on mission teams in Africa, Russia, Central and South America, and Mexico.
