Derek Parker, Ph.D.
Derek earned his Ph.D in Counselor Education and Supervision at Liberty University in 2021. He also earned a Master of Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2014, a Master of Rehabilitative Services from Clarion University in 2008, and a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies from Clarion University in 2006. He is an Assistant Professor at Liberty University and an Adjunct Professor at Marywood University. Derek holds the following licenses and certifications:
- Licensed Professional Counselor, State of Pennsylvania
- National Certified Counselor
- Disaster Mental Health Counseling
- Seeking Safety – Trauma Counseling Protocol
- Approved Clinical Supervisor
Derek has several years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in a variety of settings that include:

He employs a faith-based approach using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. He has extensive experience in addressing the following areas:
