Tammy is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. She is a member of The American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and The Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC). Tammy earned her Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, PA and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Tammy also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from The State University of New York at Fredonia, NY (1998).
Tammy has practiced counseling for over eight years working with adolescents, individuals, families, and groups. She has spent seven years in mental health counseling specializing in trauma, grief, couples’ therapy, mood disorders, abuse, and PTSD. She also spent two years as a substance abuse counselor treating drug and alcohol abuse and codependence.

Tammy uses a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented approach to work with individuals and families as she works with women’s issues and trauma. She uses an eclectic approach applying motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral techniques when working with drug and alcohol clients. She approaches mental health with a combination of person-centered and Gestalt therapy. Tammy has done group therapy for many years successfully dealing with grief, abuse, and substance abuse.
Tammy is active in New Life Worship Center as a consultant for mental health issues; her husband, Tom, serves on the Board of Elders. Tammy is also on the Board of Directors for Every Life Matters Pregnancy Center in Tyrone and is on the Advisory Board for N.E.W.S. Worthy Network in Altoona which is developing transition homes for those trying to integrate back into society.
