Scott Caldwell is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Ohio. He earned his Master of Arts degree from Geneva College in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May 2017 and has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Bloomsburg University. Scott is also a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Pennsylvania Counseling Association (PCA), the Ohio Counseling Association (OCA), Chi Sigma Iota (the national academic and professional honor society for counseling), the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), the Christian Association for Psychological Studies (CAPS), and the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).
Scott comes to Christian Counseling Associates after 20 years of experience in retail sales management. His counseling is focused on the foundation of Biblical principles. Scott’s clinical emphasis integrates spiritual, biological, psychological, and social facets of the individual, utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Choice Therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapeutic techniques. He believes that, above all, the counseling relationship must be triadic in nature, intimately involving the Holy Spirit.
Scott works with adults 21 and older dealing with mood disorders (anxiety and depression), anger management, self-esteem issues, grief/loss, soul care and spiritual issues.
Scott is available at our Steubenville and Wintersville Christian Counseling Centers, as well as offers appointments through online distance counseling on Fridays.
