Scott Aiken, L.P.C.
Scott graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Theology in 1988 and a Master of Arts in Counseling in 2007. He served as pastor of three churches over a 33 year time period until moving into full time counseling. Scott holds the following licenses and certifications: Licensed Professional Counselor (State of Pennsylvania), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (State of Rhode Island), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (State of Massachusetts) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional
American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).
Scott has 33 years counseling experience, with 15 years of professional counseling experience with clients in a variety of settings which include:
- Individual Private Practice
- Group Private practice
- Pastoral Counseling in faith based setting
Scott works with adolescents and adults. He is skilled in working with individuals, couples and families. He is trained to work with most areas of clinical disorders and/or problems that bring a person to counseling. Clinically, Scott employs a faith based approach that also integrates Psychoeducation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. He is also trained in trauma focused care. He is experienced in the following areas:
