Education:

Michele earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pittsburgh School for Social Work and is licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Home and School Visitor.

Background:

With a background in hospital social work, Michele has considerable experience working with children and families as a former home-health/medical social worker.
Her clinical training includes a certificate of education in family-based therapy, as well as a certificate and training as a Student Assistant Liaison. Her practice experience includes working with all ages in individual, marital, and family counseling.

Areas of Specialty:

Michele’s areas of specialty include developmental disabilities, abuse and neglect, sexual abuse, trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, problems with self-esteem, relationship difficulties, parenting issues, school issues, career and workplace issues, health, aging, life transitions, and general problems of living. By integrating a Christian perspective, her compassion and professional skills enable her to assist and inspire clients.
Michele is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and Saint Catherine Philoptochos Society. She is a member of the Greek Orthodox Church and has been recognized by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Western Pennsylvania as a dedicated teacher with 11 years of teaching experience.
