Jamie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). In 2000, she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She continued her education at Seton Hill University and in 2008 was awarded a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Jamie has accumulated a wealth of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults within a variety of settings. Jamie started off her career working as a social worker in the nursing homes. Following the completion of her graduate degree, she began providing home-based reunification therapy and family-based treatment to high conflict families in crisis. Jamie moved into outpatient treatment in 2011, providing mental health and drug and alcohol counseling to students and adults.
Areas of Specialty:
Jamie has experience treating and working with individuals who have been diagnosed with a wide range of mood disorders, personality disorders, drug and alcohol abuse/addictions, and/or childhood disorders. However, Jamie prefers to take an approach to treatment that does not define a person by their diagnosis, but instead focuses on their strengths and who they are as a beloved child of God. Treatment then addresses overcoming disrupted behaviors, negative moods and dysfunctional interactions which are preventing the individual, couple, or family from achieving optimal functioning.
Jamie, a lifelong believer, has been active in the Methodist Church for over 10 years and has served in many ministries including praise team, bible studies and the Stephen Ministry Program.
Jamie holds daytime and evening hours at our Greensburg location. Call 724-396-1510 to schedule.
