Lori Gunter, M.A.
Lori graduated from the University of Phoenix with a B.S. in Business Management. She also earned a Master of Arts in Marriage, Couples and Family Counseling from Geneva College in 2022. Lori is currently in her pre-licensing phase of clinical training and is under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Supervisor at Christian Counseling Associates. She holds the following certifications and professional memberships: Ordained Minister, American Counseling Association, International Association for Marriage and Family Counselors and Association for Spiritual, Ethical and Religious Values in Counseling.
Lori has experience working with adults, adolescents, and children in a variety of settings that include:
- Outpatient Faith-Based Mental Health Counseling
- Family & Community Enrichment Center
- Non-profit Organization
Lori works with individuals from across the lifespan. She is skilled at working with individuals, couples, and families. Clinically, she employs a faith-based approach using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Lori is skilled at providing empirically-validated, faith-based approaches for most issues including:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Codependency
- Women’s Issues.
Lori integrates Faith-Based Counseling by incorporating biblical principles in each session. Lori is an active church member and volunteers at her church in a variety of capacities.
