Deborah Erskine earned her bachelor’s degree from Edinboro University and her Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, graduating with the honor of High Distinction. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).
Deborah has many years of experience within the counseling profession. Working in the past as a peer counselor and medical advocate for Pittsburgh Action Against Rape, Deborah has undergone extensive training to assist survivors of sexual assault and abuse. Additionally, she has facilitated group and individual therapy for those dealing with substance abuse.

Deborah prefers to use a variety of treatment modalities in her counseling such as cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and person-centered therapy, along with art therapy and faith-based counseling. She provides a platform where clients may grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually by fostering an open and honest environment. This is accomplished by utilizing an integrative approach which tailors each client’s experience to meet their individual needs.
Clientele include individuals, adolescents, children, couples, and families. Deborah is passionate about helping clients in the areas of depression/anxiety, marriage counseling, autism spectrum disorder, self-harm, sexual identity and gender concerns, trauma, self-esteem issues, and addiction. She also specializes in helping people cope and live well with chronic illness and disability.
Deborah believes we cannot change what we do not know is possible to change and a large part of a therapist’s purpose is to show clients what is possible by ministering the hope and grace of God in the midst of life’s struggles and sorrows.
Deborah worships with her family in the Greenville area and is actively involved in a variety of ministries including the praise team, youth leadership, and facilitating women’s ministry.
