David is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
He earned an MA in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2011. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Specialized Studies with a focus on Social Work and Psychology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
David has over 25 years of experience working with individuals with a variety of emotional, behavioral, and relational issues, helping them to pursue better overall mental health. His career is rooted in addictions and forensic work with adults, and has included both inpatient and outpatient settings.

In recent years, David’s efforts have expanded to include more Christ-centered work. His specialty areas include:
- Addictions and substance abuse
- Relational Problems including boundary issues, conflict resolution and reconciliation
- Mood disorders
- Emotional and behavioral psychiatric diagnoses
David’s treatment philosophy serves to integrate the Christian faith among a variety of clinical approaches. Therapies including Cognitive Behavioral, Client Centered, Solution-Focused, and Reality Therapy are each viewed and applied within the light of scripture.
David lives with his wife and two daughters in Erie County. He is a founding member of Lake Pointe Community Church where he has held a variety of leadership positions. He is available at the Harborcreek, McKean and North East locations in Erie for day and some evening appointments.
