Dan graduated from NOVA Southeastern University in 2006 with a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling. Dan holds the following licenses and certifications: Licensed Professional Counselor (State of Pennsylvania), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Functional Behavior Assessment, and Internal Family Systems.
Dan has over fifteen years of experience working with clients in a variety of settings that include:

- Community-based Therapy
- Mobile Therapy/Wrap-around Therapy
- Non-profit Organizations
Dan works with individuals from across the lifespan. He is skilled at working with adults, children, adolescents, and families. Dan is trained to work with most areas of clinical disorder. Clinically, he employs a faith-based approach using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Psycho-educational therapy. Dan specializes in the following areas:
